My name is Norissa Harman.

From a young age, I've always had an entrepreneurial mindset. Whether I was mowing lawns, babysitting, selling lemonade, or working at the local burger joint, I always found a way to make money. I was a big dreamer with BIG vision. I didn't grow up wealthy, and that instilled in me the value of working hard for everything I had. Like any kid without a lot, I'd save up my earnings to buy my favorite name-brand clothing. I loved all the name brands. This is really where my love for fashion began. Looking back, I can see how God was directing my clothing career all along, guiding me to where I am today.

I've had the great honor of starting a non-profit called Shoot for Purpose, in building this fundraiser, and seeing a void in the marketplace, a vision, and a name came about: Girls with Guns. I've come to understand that just as God gave people in the Bible dreams and visions to build things with Him, He was doing that same work in me. It took faith, and it took the right people stepping into the story. He brought my now sister-in-law, Jen O'Hara, into my life as a business partner. When I think of our story, I often think of Moses and Aaron: Moses was the passionate, driven leader who spoke with God, and Aaron, his older brother, came alongside him as the practical one, peacemaker, and risk-taker when Moses felt unable to speak well. God makes no mistakes in teaming us up!

Together, Jen and I grew Girls with Guns into a globally well-known clothing brand for women in the outdoors, headquartered in Red Bluff, California. Our digital TV series took us around the world. China, New Zealand, Spain, France, the Congo, South Africa, and Argentina. Experiencing different cultures was eye-opening and enriching, and it showed me just how much of the world is out there waiting to be explored. I believe those travels were preparing me for exactly where I am today.

I never would have imagined finding God through a clothing brand, but He had strategically planned it all along. In 2017, I had a radical encounter in Africa with God. Then in 2022, I felt a tug from the Lord — He was calling me out of Girls with Guns and into a season of rest, healing, and deeper service to Him. What that would look like was unknown and honestly a little scary, but I knew I had to trust Him.

Since then, giving God my yes, I've had the privilege of doing ministry across the United States and in several nations, carrying the Gospel to the streets and to the world. Along the way, I've seen the incredible needs these ministries face with so few resources.
